Therapy Approaches
EMDR is an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain process distressing experiences that may feel "stuck." By reducing the emotional intensity of painful memories, EMDR can help you move forward without feeling held back by the past.
Our emotions provide valuable information about our needs, experiences, and relationships. Emotion Focused Therapy helps you better understand, process, and transform difficult emotions so they no longer feel overwhelming or controlling.
The way we think, feel, and behave are closely connected. CBT helps identify unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors while developing practical skills that support healthier ways of coping and responding to life's challenges.
CPT is a specialized form of cognitive therapy designed to help people recover from trauma. It focuses on understanding how traumatic experiences have shaped beliefs about yourself, others, and the world, creating space for healing and new perspectives.
Our bodies often hold experiences that words alone cannot express. Somatic therapy helps you tune into your nervous system, physical sensations, and body's wisdom, supporting healing through both awareness and regulation.
Therapy can provide clarity, direction, and meaningful progress. A goal-directed approach helps identify what matters most to you and creates a collaborative plan to help you move toward the life you want to build.
ACT focuses on making room for difficult thoughts and emotions rather than fighting against them. By building psychological flexibility and reconnecting with your values, ACT helps you move toward a rich and meaningful life.
IFS views the mind as made up of different "parts," each with its own role, experiences, and intentions. This compassionate approach helps you understand and heal these parts while strengthening your connection to your calm, grounded core self.
My approach is grounded in the belief that healing happens through safe, authentic connection. Our earliest relationships shape how we view ourselves, relate to others, and move through the world. Together, we'll explore these patterns with curiosity and compassion, creating new experiences of trust, safety, and connection that can support lasting change.

Areas of Focus
Grief often lies beneath much of what we are feeling. It isn't limited to the loss of a loved one—it can come from the end of a relationship, changes in identity, unmet expectations, or life transitions. When grief goes unacknowledged, we can end up carrying it like a weight in our chest. Together, we create space to honour your losses and move toward healing.
Many of the ways we cope today began as trauma responses that once helped us survive. While they may have protected you in the past, they can become barriers to living the life you want now. Because our bodies often recognize danger before our minds do, healing involves listening to both. Together, we'll work to better understand your experiences and help your nervous system find a greater sense of safety.
Anxiety can leave you feeling overwhelmed, constantly on edge, or stuck in a cycle of worry. Whether it's racing thoughts, physical symptoms, or a sense that you always have to be prepared, we'll work together to understand what's beneath the anxiety and develop strategies that help you feel more grounded and in control.
Depression can make even the simplest tasks feel exhausting and leave you feeling disconnected from yourself and the people around you. Whether you're experiencing sadness, numbness, hopelessness, or a loss of motivation, therapy can provide a space to be supported, understood, and to reconnect with yourself one step at a time.
Anger is often misunderstood, but it is a valid and important emotion. Beneath anger there is often hurt, fear, grief, or unmet needs. Rather than judging or suppressing it, we'll explore what your anger is trying to tell you and find healthier ways to express and respond to it.
Our relationships have a profound impact on how we see ourselves and experience the world. Whether you're navigating conflict, communication challenges, attachment patterns, boundaries, or relationship loss, therapy can help you build healthier, more fulfilling connections with others and with yourself.
Parenting is rewarding, but it can also be overwhelming, isolating, and emotionally demanding. Whether you're adjusting to a new role, navigating challenges with your child, or trying to balance the many demands of life, you'll have a space where you can feel supported without judgment.
Life is full of change, even when it's expected. Career changes, becoming a parent, relationship changes, loss, or shifts in identity can leave us feeling uncertain and untethered. Therapy can help you navigate these transitions with greater clarity, resilience, and self-compassion.
Women often carry countless expectations while navigating unique physical, emotional, and societal challenges. Whether you're experiencing burnout, people-pleasing, perfectionism, reproductive or perinatal concerns, identity changes, or simply feeling overwhelmed, therapy offers a space where your experiences are heard, validated, and supported.
